Lacey, Chris D’. Fire Star. New York: Scholastic, 2005. Print.
I would describe David as a man who knows how to problem solve, but is sometimes stubborn. He just wants to do what has to be done and be done with it. This is greatly described in the quote “There’s nothing you can do. ‘But there is,’ he said. ‘If the stories I create are somehow coming true, then all I have to do is write Lucy back here and deal with Gwilanna at the same time. The end.” (Lacey 176). The way Lacey describe him would be Indirect because he doesn’t come out and say how impatient David is to finish what has to be done.

Clare, Cassandra. Clockwork Angel. New York: Margaret K. McElderry Books, 2010. Print.
I would describe Tessa as a level-headed, straight forward person. She isn't afraid to speak her thoughts and opinions. I found this to be indirect characterization because in the time period girls wouldn't yell at guys but she does anyway.
"Without thinking about it she burst out indignantly, 'What a think to say!'"(Clare 207). She said this after Gabriel, a shadowhunter, told one of her friends that no one would care if he died before he turned nineteen.

Collins , Suzan. The hunger games. New York: Scholastic press. 2008. print.
Katniss is the main character in the book "The Hunger Games" is a courageous and strong person. She cares a lot about her family and always puts them before herself. She is put into the hunger games which leads her to make tough decisions but she always seems to choose the right thing. Katniss is very independent as well. That is why she is very important to the story "The Hunger Games".

Shan,Darren.Cirque Du Freak:Vampire Mountain.Great Britain:Collins,2001.Print.
The main character in this book is Darren Shan who is a dark haired and is extremely respectful of Mr.Crepsley and anyone and is showed when he said he would face death for him and is shown with this quote "I'll face death to prove myself to you". That is a indirect characterization
Austin D.
To Mia: How does Katniss show her care for her family?

What do you think would happen if David wasn't impatient and would spend all his time planning to do something instead of immediately acting upon the start of any problem.

I think that The Last Dragon Sires would be boring if David didn’t want to do something right away. David wanting to finish something is a strong trait for him. He’s one of the main charters. Just think if David wasn’t the way he was, and took time to plan an action thoroughly without discussion it would be a really boring book.

I wold describe Hakeem as a sacred boy. I think hes scared because his father was diagonost with cancer and they had to move from California to Detriot. He left his friends and his girl friend. He is forced to live with his cousin and he doesnt get along very well with him. " I keep on repeating in my head You gotta be strong son" ( Langen 26)

Dessen, Sarah. That summer. New York: Speak, 1996. Print.
In the book, Haven is the main character which is also the narrator. She lives with her mother and her older sister Ashley. Right now in the book, Haven’s father gets remarried to a woman named Lorna Queen. Haven attends the wedding ceremony, but she wonders how her mother feels about her father getting married. I would describe Haven as jealous because of her sister. Haven explains about her sister, Ashley, and how popular she was during her senior year even though she is still shorter than her. “At twenty-one my sister is a petite five-four, with the kind of curvy, rounded body that I wish I’d been born with” (Dessen5).

The book your reading sounds interesting. What does the author give to show that Dave is a stubborn person?

Chow, Cara. Bitter Melon. New York : Scholastic Inc. , 2001 : print.
One character in the book i'm reading, Bitter Melon, is Frances's mom. She's extremely strict and forces Frances to not only get perfect grades but do EVERYTHING perfect. Her mom seems to constantly put her down instead of showing any type of approval but in the end you can tell Frances is loved by her mom by the way she always gives up the better stuff, such as a certain food, to Frances. This is shown in this quote, "It's OK Frances, mommy always saves the best for you." (Chow, 43)

King, Stephen. Pet Semetary. Doubleday. 1983: Print.
The main character in Pet Semetary is Louis Creed. He is a logical person. I say this because after his daughter's cat is killed, it comes back the day after it is burried in the Pet Semetary. Louis keeps trying to find a logical explanation for this. "For Christ's sake, the cat was just stunned, that's all, a car hit it and stunned it..." King 139.
