Condie, Ally. Matched. New York: Scholastic, 2010. Print.
Matched, by Allie Condie, is a science fiction book set in the future. So far in the story, the main character Cassia is on her way to her Match Banquet where she will learn who she will be placed with for the rest of her life. She is nervous and excited about the Banquet and happy that her best friend Xander is going with her.
The novel is written in first person point of view. I can tell because all of the protagonist’s thoughts and feelings are shared. Also, the explanative portion of the dialogue uses 1st person pronouns, such as I, me, or my.
“ ‘What are you smiling about?’ Xander wonders as I smooth the folds of my green silk dress down neat. ‘Everything,’ I tell him. And it’s true” (Condie 3).

Delaney, Chris. The Last Apprentice Night of the Soul Stealer. New York: HarperCollins,2006. Print.
Tomas Ward and the Spook go to Anglezarke for the winter in case Golgoth, an ancient God of Winter, causes trouble. Unfortunatly they run into Morgan the Spooks old apprentice and a necromancerwho wants to raise Golgoth. At the same time Tom has to make sure neither Marcia or Meg, two lamia witches, kill anyone. Unfortunatly the Spook wishes no harm onto Meg because he loves her. Tom read in an old notebook of the Spook`s, "How could I put her into a pit when i realized that I loved her better than my own soul." (Delaney 284)
The point of veiw is in the first person. I know this because the story uses the key words " I, me, and we". The maincharacter says, "I searched the wall carefully that night." (Delaney 22). The use of the word "I" proves this in the first point of veiw.

Dave, Pelzer. The Lost Boy. Florida: Health Communications, Inc. 1997. Print.
Dave went to court with his social worker to testify against his mom. He was put in a foster home because a cop came to the school to take him because of what his mom did to him as a young child. He is in a much better place now than he was in before. He looks up to Larry but Larry Jr. isn’t so nice to him. In court Dave finds the courage in him to ask if he can stay a ward of the court and not go back to live with his mom.
This book is in first point of view. I know this because threw ought the book it says I, me, and my. “You, sir! I want to live with you! I’m sorry! I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to tell!”

This week i read about Tally and David traveling back to the cities after The Smoke was destroyed. They broke into the Special Circumstances and saved the rest of the surviving Smokies.
I believe that this book is in 3rd person because the narrarator uses words like (she , he ,they) and not ( i , me , you ). i also know that its 3rd person because the speaker know all the people's thoughts but does not neccisarly "talk' during the book.

Hughes, Mark Pater. Lemonade Mouth. New York: Random House. 2007. Print.
Lemonade Mouth is a realistic fiction book that explains how the “band” Lemonade mouth was made. So far in the book after Wen, Stella, Charlie, Olivia, and Mo are sent to detition, and play music they decide to form a band. Now they are practicing for the Halloween Bash. Hopeful they’ll work together soon enough to get the work done.

Hughes, Mark Pater. Lemonade Mouth. New York: Random House. 2007. Print.
Lemonade Mouth is written in the 3rd person. The book is written in segments featuring each of the band members thoughts. Right before each part begins it tells who it is speaking. The book even says “So it’s fair to say that the document you hold in your hands is the definitive anthology of Lemonade Mouth, presenting a unique opportunity to peer inside the heads of each of the Fab Five.” (Hughes 2). This proves that the book is written in each of the band members opinion.

Dear Jordan D.
Since you obviously already read “ The Hunter Games” can you tell me when it becomes interesting? It’s not that it is a bad book it’s that the book moves so slowly. I’m on chapter five, and it bugs me that nothing happened yet. Is Catching Fire written like that?

Stolarz, Lariefaria. Blue is for Nightmares. Minnesota:Llewellyn,2003. Print.
Blue is for Nightmares is about a girl named Stacey. Stacey is on her junior year od boarding school. She keeps having nightmares and wetting the bed. She is trying to hid the fact that she is a bed wetter from everyone, even her roommate Drea, who Stacey sees as her sister. Stacey keeps having nightmares that someone who is stalking her knows her secret. She also sees Drea getting killed. Stacey woke Drea up and herself so Drea wanted a card reading. Stacey said yes and so Drea druw cards. Stacey was terrified at what she saw, Drea pulled the death card.
This book is told in first-person. Stacey is telling the story. I know this because I cann read and know what Stacey is thinking. I also know that because in the book there are key words such as, "I, am, me and my". An example of this from the book is, "'Drea!' I shout, bursting into our room" (Stolarz 46).
Kaleigh M. to Helen C.
I have read all three of the hunger games and it will get interesting soon. Don't stop reading the book and no Catching Fire isn't really like that. It is more interesting.

Who is Larry? Is that his father or his foster parent? Is he even related or a guardian to him?

This week I covered many pages in this book. So far, Travis is trying to convince The Sloan Governer that he is the one who killed Nicole, and to allow Donte Drumm's death sentence to be postponed for 30 days. However, This does not work. Time is running out as Drumm's death is only hours away. The story takes place in Texas, where the death sentence is a needle, with poison in it. Donte Drumm is innocent though. Travis Boyette, he's the real murderer. Drumm was arrested due to someone calling the Sloan Police and saying that on the night of Nicoles dissapearance,
they saw Donte Drumm at the same mall Nicole was at. This, however, is a completely inaccurate statement. Travis Boyette, who was in Sloan at the time of Nicole's dissapearance, and has an endless criminal record, killed Nicole. Why?He's a sick man. He kidnapped her, raped her,Twice, and killed her in a period of two days. And the person who is helping Travis get to Sloan from Topeka, where Boyette is now years later before the death sentence of Drumm, is a Ministor named Keith. Keith wants Drumm to be released from prison, because he is innocent, but Keith isn't sure. Travis is a professional liar, but he stated that he has a brain tumor, that is growing bigger every day, which Keith was informed by a doctor, that the statement is true. Now Boyette made an interview with Mr. Flakk (Donte's lawyer), stating that he is the killer of Nicole Yarber. Now it is a race against time, because only a guilty man, can save innocent Donte Drumm's life. "I killed Nicole."

Downing Hahn, Mary. The Dead Man in Indian Creek.New York:Sandpiper, 1990. Print.
I'm reading the book The Dead Man In Indian Creek it is how two boys named Matt and Parker went camping the last weekend before school started. In the morning Parker and Matt saw George Evans on the bridge and then the dog Otis went under the bride. Parker and Matt saw a dead guy. Parker's mom and George are dating, and Parker and Matt found out that Parker's mom Pam and George sold dolls and they put cocaine in the dolls head.

Peck, Richard. The River Between Us. New York: Dial Books, 2003. Print.
So far in the book, The river between us, Tilly which is the main character goes on a trip with her dad and brothers. On their way to Illinois, Tillie's dad tells them a little history about when he was younger. She learns that there was a ghost that was seen walking past a river. She doesn't really believe this, but when she learns more about the ghost she starts believing its true. " 'A ghost or something very like it has been seen crossing that road on dark nights like this' "(Peck11).
In this book, there is 1st person point of view because the main character, Tillie, is the one telling the story. "My dad was what they called a self-made man"(Peck6).

The book your reading sounds interesting, but what point of view is the book in?
Heather F.
Riordan, Rick. The Son Of Neptune. New York: Disney Hyperion.
There was a lot of exciting action at the end of the book! Percy, Hazel, and Frank get to Alaska, fight the giant Alcyoneus, and free Thantos (Death)from his chains, and Percy regained his memory! They also make it back to camp in time to help the Romans defeat most of Gaea's army. They restored the legion's standard, and Percy became a praetor. The three of them get a message saying that Percy's friends from Camp Half-Blood are coming to get him.
The story is told in the third person point of view. I know his because throught the story the protagonist's point of view shifts to another protagonist's point of view. It tells us what their thinking when it's their point of view. When it's Frank's point of view he thinks this,"Percy was fighting like whirlwind no he was whirlwind. Since when did he have that power?"(Riordan 455). Also in one of Frank's point of view chapters it says this," Frank unwrapped the firewood and knelt at the feet of Thantos."(Riordan 454). So the story is told on the third person!
