Collins, Suzanne. Mockingjay. New York: Scholastic Press, 2010. Print.

In the book, Katniss has become the symbol of the rebel’s cause to overthrow the Capital. Sadly, Peeta has been brainwashed to believe that the Capital is good and Katniss is evil. This hurts Katniss because she truly cares for Peeta and wants to rescue him without harm. If I could change one character, I would undo the brainwashing that Peeta has been subjected to so that he can fight with Katniss instead of against her. “ ‘She’s a liar! You can’t believe anything she says...she killed my friends. She killed my family. Don’t even go near her! She’s a mutt!” (Collins 198). A mutt is an evil mutant and Peeta believes Katniss is the cause of his misery.

I would like to make the main character, Keith, to be more talking about God. He is a minister, and is not talking about God as much in the book. Keith talks about God a few times, but not as much as minister's usually do. I want to make this change because it will make the story more believable because he would seem more real, as a minister, then he does.

Dear Mrs. Evans,
I wonder if Peeta is going to be brainwashed for a longer period of time.

Pelzer, Dave. The Lost Boy. Florida: Health Communications Inc. 1997. Print.

If I could change anything that happened in the book I would change that Dave every got abused because no kid should ever go threw that. I would make this change because threw ought Dave’s books you understand that he never deserved the struggles he had with life, his mom, his friends and also school he had a very hard life. He had to keep that secrete for a long time. No kid should ever have to deal with that in his life. “No! I pleaded. “She must never know I told you! Never!” ( Pelzer 47)

Dear Mrs. Evans

I know that I wrote something similar about this last blog, but I still don’t see how the Hunger Games book gets better. I mean why are we reading a book about killing, and going against each other? All the people in the book are ok with it, but it doesn’t sound right. Why should people enjoy killing?

Hughes, Mark Pater. Lemonade Mouth. New York: Random House. 2007. Print.

In the last chapter I read we get to see the experiences of other people besides the main charters. What I don’t like is there was a segments describing how the members of Lemonade Mouth where feeling. Yes, it was nice to hear what other were thinking, but I would have liked hearing their thought too. A nice quote that could describe this is “Enjoy this moment, my lovely one.” – Lemonade Mouth. Oh, and that night I did. Skinny Nancy” was my first ever slow dance. That night changed everything.” (Hughes 164). I also add that all the words to songs. It annoys me the charters can hear them, yet we can’t.

Haddix,Margaret Peterson. Don't You Dare Read This Mrs. Dunphrey. New York: Simon Pulse. 1996. Print.

The book I am reading is about a girl named Tish Bonner, whose life enters a dramatic change when her abusive father re-enters her life. This book is her journal for english class and she marks all her entries: do not read. If I could change anything about the main character it would be having Tish's mother finally stand up to her father and kicking him out of the house. The way he abuses his family is just sickening. "I came home from Burger Boy and Dad was throwing things at Mom- his shoes, one of the lamps and a decorative Elvis plate... (Haddix 39).

Sometimes it is good to know what some of the other characters are thinking, but sometimes it is irratating.

The book I'm reading is about a boy named Percy Jackson and he has recently has defeated Mrs.Dodds who is really a monster called a fury with a pen that turned into a sword. After everybody was acting like Mrs.Dodds never has existed. One example is " Percy, there is no Mrs.Dodds on this trip.As far as I know, there has never been a Mrs.Dodds at Yancy Academy..."(Riordan 15)

Brewer, Heather. The Slayer Chronicles First Kill. London: Penguin Group, 2011. Print.

This book is about a normal guy who's sister was killed by a vampire. Joss McMillan comes from a long line of skilled vampire hunters, but there is only one slayer per generation. Joss is brought to a forest to train, and during that time two slayers are mysteriously killed. Unfortunately he is blamed for both murders, " Abraham had just pinned the second murder on him." (Brewer 226)

In this story I wish that it wasn't Joss's sister who had to die. They were extermely close and Joss would have done anything for her. Just reading that made me sad.

I have also read that series and found Mockingjay the least favorite of the three. If anything should change it should be the Hunger Games themselves. Unfortunately if they were different there would be no story. It's very confusing for me since I loved the books yet wish for that.

Spinelli, Jerry. Milkweed. New York: Scholastic, 2003. Print.

In the book, Milkweed, Stopthief is the main character which is a little boy. He doesn’t know where he is, how old, or where he is now. He is found by Uri which is another character. They end up with a group of Jews but Stopthief knows he is a gypsy. If I were to change something from the main character I would change about Stopthief and Uri becoming friends. In the book, Uri sometimes leaves Stopthief to himself while bombs are being thrown from the sky. “I could not walk if someone else was running. I broke loose from Uri” (Spinelli17).

I have read this book before and its really sad. I wonder what would happen if one day, Daves mother would change completely into a nonabusive one.

McBride, Lish. Hold Me Closer, Necromancer. New York: Henry Holt and Company, 2010. Print.

I've just started this book, and haven't gotten very far so this is what the book is about so far. There is this guy who's name is weird so everyone calls him Sam. Sam works at a fast food resturant, because he is a drop out. He works alongside his best friend Ramon and a girl named Brooke. For fun they play potato hockey on their breaks, or whenever they feel the need to have one.

If i could change anything about Sam it would be the fact that he's a drop out. This is because I think that everyone should get the proper education needed to succeed in life. It's sad that Sam will miss out on the whole experience, and he'll probably regret the decision even more than he already does later in his life."....Desperately wishing I hadn't dropped out of college."(McBride 1)

Austin, I've read the entire Percy Jackson series, and the books are great! I've always wondered why they act like Mrs. Dodds never existed. I understand the whole 'mist' thing, but Grover is Percy's protector, so shouldn't he have said something? I mean Percy was in a near death situation there!

Collins, Suzanne. Catching Fire. new york scholastic, 2010. print.

In this book Katniss Everdeen is the main character.
Goes on a journey throughout all of the districts and the capital. But in the middle of all this she has to pretend to be in love with Peeta Mellark. Another character so her and her family don't get killed for lying and making a fool of the capital.

If I could change anything About Katniss it would have to be. The fact that she will not bring out the guts that she has very deep inside of her that is telling her to. Tell the people and the capital that it just didn't work out between her and Peeta. There is proof of this when "my only defense was pretending that I was driven insane by a passionate love for Peeta." (collins 18)

Do you think the story line would completely change if Sam wasn't a dropout
