DeLaney, Joseph. The Last Apprentice Curse of the Bane. New York: Greenwillow Books. 2005. Print.
The setting in the Curse of the Bane is a town called Priesttown, sometime before cars and light bulbs were invented. The Bane is hidding in the catacombs below the city. Tom Ward, the main character, says this totell us about the setting, "The catacombs were as well paved as the streets above" (DeLaney 167). This said can give anyone a good idea as to what the catacombs look like.

Why are the characters running and if they are being chased, chased by what? I can understand your setting alright but the paragraph is confusing me. Also with my story the Bane is an evil shape-shifter that wants to rule all.
And i agree with u Jamie , he should put a little more detail into the setting. But i do like your sited text.

The setting of my book is in New York. it takes place mostly in a girl name Melinda's house and Her school. The date is not stated in the book but from things i read such as "Her dad turned on the TV" and about her and her friends hanging out at the mall and parties i think its somewhere around 2000- or later.

is in a place called The Hole In The Wall. That is the place in the woods where Jonesy,Henry,Pete and the Beav go on their anual hunting trip. This is also where Beav gets attacked by the giant worm that lived inside Rick McCarthy. "'Go, big boy, on you huskies', He said, and started running towards Hole in the Wall again." (King 202).

First Jamie G. Those catacombs sound a lot better then the one described in “ The Cask Of Amontillado. Also, Jenna the camping place sounds a lot like camp Half-blood in Percy Jackson And The Olympians. In addition why is there a worm inside a person?

Cynthia, Voigt. Dicey’s Song. New York. The Ballantine Publishing Group. 1982. Print.
The location in Dicey’s song is in Mary Land near the Chesapeake bay. The time in the book is the present for when the book was written which is copyright sometime in the 1980's. I can tell it’s very beautiful there. Cynthia describes it with great detail by saying, “ ... the wind blew off the water, bringing the faint smell of salt and the rich, moist smell of the marshes” (Cynthia 1).

This book takes place in England. The biggest location is Nikolei Drevin's home, a large, castle-like building with every feature imaginable. Nikolei Drevin's home has so many things, I cant even list all of them. Some of the things in the building are: a school, a game room, a table tennis room, 2 dining rooms, a large one and a small one, a full service kitchen, and one of my favorites, full butler, maid and kitchen staff. " There were two large dining rooms, one designed as if for the Queen. I was glad we would be dining in the smaller, less fancy one," (Horowitz 143)

Why is the place in the woods called Hole In The Wall? Is there a reason for it in the book or is it not told? Is it actually called this or do the characters just call it Hole In The Wall?

In this book, there are two boys. One twelve year old named Prosper and a five year old named Bo. They are brothers and they ran away, to Venice. There mother had passed away, and she had told them all the magical, and mythical things that go on in Venice, that's what they chose Venice to run away from. You may be wondering why they ran away. Well, there aunt, wanted to adopt Bo, and not Prosper. And Prosper wouldn't allow it. So, they ran away from there grandfathers, where they were staying at that moment. Since then, they have been staying with a few kids, that have been helping them. Since then, they are hired, Prosper and all of his new friends, to steal a wing, a lions wing. Well, of course, they stole it. Since then, Mr. Getz (The guy hired to find Prosper and Bo), traded sides, and he is now, helping them.
The main setting in this book, is Venice. A place filled with magic, and mystery, or so Bo believes. In Venice Prosper and the whole gang stay in this old abandoned cinema. Where they stay, for practically the whole book. "It was Venice this, Venice that, nothing but Venice" (Funke 11)
To Jamie,
From Derek.
In your book, your characters are hiding in the catacombs. In my story, they are hiding in an old cinema. They are both trying to hide from something.

I enjoyed the summary of the book. Do the childrens parents know where they are? Why doesn't their auntie want to adopt both of them? And also, why would their auntie be adopting them in the first place, did something occur to their parents?
Dear Derek G,

Collins,Suzanne. Mockingjay. New York: Scholastic Inc, 2010. Print.
Mockingjay is the final book of the 'Hunger Games' trilogy. In it Peeta is taken hostage by the Capitol, and the rebels are trying to bring it down as well.
The main setting of this book would be District 13. That's the rebels' base practically. Katniss as well as many others are taken there to be kept safe, and also to rebel against the Capitol.

Alender, Katie. Bad Girls dont die. New York:Disney ,2009. Print.
This book takes place so far at Alexis house. She was outside at three in the morning with her camera, she saw a light, it got closer and closer, she went inside and went to her bed. She didnt know what it was so she just put in her head that it was fireflies. Thats all I read so far, but i dont think it was "fireflies" because of the way she explained it. "Out of the corner of my eye, I got a sense of the light growing larger and then I realized it wasnt getting bigger, it was getting closer".

In the book, Just Listen, the main character Annabel goes through many problems. Since she does modeling, she always wanted to quite but knew that she would break her mother’s heart. Then at school she met this boy named Owen who is known as the bully at school. Annabel soon starts to notice how Owen is really like and they become friends. I think the setting that mostly takes place in the book is at school. This is where she meets Owen and how Annabel and her friend Sophie get into an argument and stopped becoming friends. “Whatever the reason, I’d become somewhat fascinated with Owen Armstrong (Dessen65).

Korman,Gordon.Zoobreak.Scholastic Press.2009.Print
The book Zoobreak takes place mostly at Ben Slovak's school. This is where they plan how they are going to break the animals out of the zoo. The setting is kind of in two parts. this means that half the book takes place in the school. The other half takes place on the boat where the animals are. This book is kind of all over the place , but the two main settings are the boat, and the school.
